MARCELLA CANNON

BENTON -- Funeral service for Marcella Cannon of Benton will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Denis Catholic Church. The Rev. Art Basler will officiate, with burial in Benton City Cemetery.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home here after 2 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6:30.

Cannon, 95, died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1992, at Country Meadows Retirement Center in Flat River.

She was born Nov. 22, 1896, at New Hamburg, daughter of John Phillip and Katherine Metz Westrick. She and Robert Cannon were married Nov. 16, 1916, in Cairo, Ill. He died in 1962.

The Cannons owned and operated Cannon's Restaurant in Benton 15 years. She was a member of St. Denis Church.

Survivors include a son, Jack Cannon of Bonne Terre; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and a great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by two sons, five brothers, three sisters and a great-granddaughter.
