MARCEIL PATE

SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Marceil Belle "Shorty" Pate of Pine Bluff, Ark., will be held at 11 a.m. today at Cranford Funeral Home in White Hall, Ark. Pastor Bill Grove will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Graveside service will be at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at Lightner Cemetery in Scott City.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of local arrangements.

Pate, 92, died Thursday, March 5, 1998, at Davis Life Care Center.

She was born Feb. 4, 1906, in Fornfelt, daughter of Sam and Belle Owen Stephens. She and Roy Maxwell Pate were married Dec. 8, 1926. He died in 1974.

Pate had worked at St. Louis Southwestern Railroad in the employees lunchroom. She had also worked at Jefferson Hotel.

Survivors include a son, Mike Pate of White Hall; and a grandson.
