Manuel Upchurch

MARQUAND, Mo. -- Manuel William Lee Upchurch, 81, of Marquand died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2007, near Marquand.

He was born Aug. 21, 1926, at Marquand, son of Homer and Lula Jane Jordan Upchurch. He and Esther Yvonne Mills were married Aug. 4, 1951.

Upchurch had been a security guard for Brown Shoe Co.

Survivors include his wife, and a son, Michael Upchurch of Greenville, Ill.

He was preceded in death by three sisters and a grandson.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Patton, Mo.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Darold Mills officiating. Burial will be in Union Light Cemetery.
