ADVANCE, Mo. -- Manford L. Talley, 86, of Gipsy, Mo., died Saturday, April 21, 2007, at the Puxico Nursing Center.

He was born Dec. 9, 1920, at Zalma, son of Ben and Stella Deckard Talley. He and Mary Buehler were married July 11, 1944, at Corning, Ariz. She survives of the home.

Talley was a retired farmer. He was a member of Berrong Baptist Church in Gipsy. Talley was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He was also a disabled vet and a member of the American Legion in Cape Girardeau.

Other survivors include two sons, Don Talley and Ronnie Talley, both of Gipsy; five brothers, Willard Talley of Maryland Heights, Mo., Glendale Talley of Collinsville, Ill., Doyle Talley of Gipsy, Leroy Talley of Ill., Dean Talley of Creve Coeur, Mo.; three sisters, Mildred Buehler of Gipsy, Marie Carter of Illinois, Lena Speer of Fredericktown, Mo.; two grandchildren, Josh Talley of Gipsy, Jessica Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill, Mo.; a great-grandchild, Madison Kelley Kirkpatrick of Marble Hill.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Kellie Talley; and three brothers.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home, Advance, Mo., with the Rev. LeeRoy Hefner officiating.

Interment will be at Berrong Cemetery in Gipsy, with full military rites.
