SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mamie Lou "Mimi" Heath, 73, of Sikeston died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. She was born July 4, 1931, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of William C. and Lillie Skaggs Pope. Heath was a ward secretary at Missouri Delta Medical Center until retiring. She moved to Sikeston 22 years ago from East Prairie. She was a member of Dogwood United Methodist Church...

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Mamie Lou "Mimi" Heath, 73, of Sikeston died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

She was born July 4, 1931, in East Prairie, Mo., daughter of William C. and Lillie Skaggs Pope.

Heath was a ward secretary at Missouri Delta Medical Center until retiring. She moved to Sikeston 22 years ago from East Prairie. She was a member of Dogwood United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Pam McNeil of Knoxville, Tenn.; a son, Dr. Jimmy Heath of Dogwood, Mo.; and three grandsons.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with Dr. Charles Carr officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
