BREWER, Mo. -- Mamie E. Brewer, 88, of Brewer died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2000, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
She was born Oct. 4, 1911, at Belgique, Mo., daughter of Charles W. and Elizabeth Cissell Franklin. She married Joseph Julian "Dick" Brewer. He died Feb. 25, 1982.
Brewer retired from Prince Gardner as a final inspector. She was a member of Christ the Savior Catholic Church, VFW Auxiliary, and Blessed Sacrament Ladies Sodality.
Survivors include six sons, Joseph P. Brewer of Scott City, Mo., Joseph F. "Jack" Brewer of Owasso, Okla., Thomas Brewer of Creve Coeur, Mo., Wayne Brewer of St. Charles, Mo., Larry Brewer of Bismarck, Mo., and Michael A. Brewer of Perryville, Mo.
Also surviving are five daughters, Doris Fiehler of Layton, Utah, Wanda Kreitler of Ste. Genevieve, Judy Claussen of Belleville, Kan., Myrna Flood of Bend, Ore., Karen Burnett of Washington; a brother, Ira Franklin of St. Mary, Mo.; 34 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, four brothers, two sisters, and two grandchildren.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 3-9 p.m. Friday, and Saturday from 6:30-9:20 a.m. The parish wake will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday and VFW Auxiliary service at 6:45. The rosary will be recited at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christ the Savior Church, with the Rev. Felipe Martinez officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
