MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Maggie Catherine Long, 85, of Marble Hill passed away Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018, at Woodland Hills Nursing Home.
She was born Sept. 23, 1932, at Hurricane, Missouri, daughter of Jessie M. And Mealie Long Russell. She and Woodrow "Deak" Long were united in marriage July 19, 1947, and he passed away Sept. 21, 1988.
Maggie worked for the Hat Factory and was a member of the Advance Jehovah Witness.
Survivors include her children, Judy (John) Stacy of Little Rock, Arkansas, W. Jean (Floyd) Green of Marble Hill, Joe (Karen) Long of Marble Hill, Billy Long and Donna Mayberry of Millstadt, Illinois, Cecil Long of Marble Hill, Danny Long of Columbia, Illinois, Gary Long of Mexico, Missouri, and Bruce (Tracy) Long of Grassy, Missouri; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow "Deak;" parents, Jessie and Mealie Long Russell; son, Jimmie Long; daughters, Sandra Kay Brown and Lorna Fay Long; brothers, David, Frank, Luther, Floyd and Berry; sisters, Essie, Jessie, Mattie, Hattie and Eddie; three grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Ross Austin officiating. Burial will follow in the Plainview Cemetery near Marble Hill.
