CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Maggie Lancaster, daughter of the late Walter Cleveland and Clara Mae Myers Jackson, was born Jan. 24, 1927, in Cardwell, Missouri, and departed this life Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Chaffee Nursing Center in Chaffee at the age of 94 years.
On Jan. 23, 1943, she was united in marriage to Jimmie Paul Lancaster in Bell City, Missouri. He preceded her in death Dec. 12, 2009.
Maggie retired as a machine operator from Thorngate in Chaffee after 43 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chaffee and a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, serving as president of local chapter 930 for six years.
Survivors include a daughter, Sherrin Rains of Chaffee; three grandsons, Danny (Tammi) Rains of Chaffee, Michael (Tony Scott) Rains of Orlando, Florida, and Jason Rains of Chaffee; four great-grandchildren, Bridget Rains, Daniel Rains, Ashtyn Rains and Kade Sullivan, all of Chaffee; and five great-great-grandchildren, Blain Rains, Landon Rains, Hailey Rains, Kynlee Mirly and Krue Mirly.
Besides her husband and parents, Maggie was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral home in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Josh Boley officiating. Interment will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Perkins, Missouri.
