MAGGIE L. COLE

EAST PRAIRIE -- Funeral service for Maggie Lee Cole of East Prairie will be held at 11 a.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel. Burl Britt will officiate, with burial in Dogwood Cemetery.

Cole, 83, died Thursday, Sept. 15, 1994, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.

She was born Oct. 1, 1911, in East Prairie, daughter of Richard and Willie Tolliver Smith. She and Finis Cole were married Sept. 24, 1937. He died Dec. 9, 1974.

Cole was employed many years at Rawlings Sporting Goods Co. in St. Louis. She moved to Mississippi County in 1973.

Survivors include a sister, Wanda Metheny of Clarksville, Tenn.; two granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter.
