Funeral service for Maggie Carroll, 611 S. West End Boulevard, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James AME Church. The Rev. David Allen will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 6-8 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 6.
Carroll, 92, died Wednesday, July 10, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born May 12, 1904, in Mississippi, daughter of Florence Smith. She was reared by Enoch and Julia Burrough Hearns. She and Frank Carroll were married Oct. 27, 1950, in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1985.
Carroll had been a housekeeper for several families. She was a member of St. James AME Church and Princess Ozeil Order of Eastern Star Chapter 101.
Survivors include a brother, Emmanuel Hearns of Bronx, N.Y.; five sisters, Roberta Hood of Brooklyn, N.Y., Virginia Gill, Mattie Akinwunmi, Nettie Frieson and Minnie Bolden, all of Tuscaloosa, Ala.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
