ANNA, Ill. -- Mae Schumacher, 86, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at Carbondale Healthcare. She was born May 20, 1912, in Union County, daughter of James and Amy Hess Davis. She and Carl Schumacher were married Oct. 18, 1936, in Anna. He died July 5, 1974...

ANNA, Ill. -- Mae Schumacher, 86, died Monday, Aug. 17, 1998, at Carbondale Healthcare.

She was born May 20, 1912, in Union County, daughter of James and Amy Hess Davis. She and Carl Schumacher were married Oct. 18, 1936, in Anna. He died July 5, 1974.

Schumacher was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, John Schumacher of Anna; two sisters, Wanda Nimmo of Dongola and Pearl Brown of Anna.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Hardway officiating. Burial will be in Big Creek Cemetery.
