Madge Marie Rose, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at her son's residence in Glenallen, Mo.
She was born June 13, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Jason Franklin and Flossie Marie Varner Parker. She and Payne E. Rose were married April 12, 1936, at Cape Girardeau. He died Sept. 16, 1990.
She was a member of the Third Street United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include three sons, Phillip Rose of Tunnel Hill, Ill., John Rose of Farmington, Mo., and David Rose of Glenallen; one brother, James Parker of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Grace Barr of Colorado Springs, Colo.; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, one brother and two grandsons.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Cy Smith officiating.
