CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Madeline Casebolt, 89, of Warrenton, Va., formerly of Chaffee and Poplar Bluff, Mo., died Friday, Sept. 12, 2003, in Virginia.
She was born Aug. 9, 1914, in Piedmont, Mo., daughter of Edward and Bertha Kirkland Brown. She and John Osborn Casebolt were married Jan. 27, 1934. He died Feb. 26, 1956.
Casebolt was a retired cosmetologist. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen.
Survivors include 10 grandchildren, Mary Ruffo of Warrenton, Geneva Lamb of Rileyville, Va., Michael Austreng and Kimberly Austreng of Fredericksburg, Va., Janetta McCauley of Kitzmiller, Md., John LeMonds of Dayton, Ohio, Marty Austreng of New Richmond, Wis., Charles LeMonds of Austria, Ed Austreng of Michigan, Per Austreng of Bloomington, Minn.; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandson, a brother, and two sisters.
Friends may call at Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff after 7 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
