MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- MacKinzie Marie Vermillion, 27, of Marble Hill died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Siteman Cancer Center in St. Louis.
She was born March 2, 1989, in Sikeston, Missouri, to Paul Pobst and Kayla Morgan Ballard. She and Jedidiah Vermillion were married March 15, 2009, in Las Vegas.
MacKinzie was a loving wife, mother and devoted Christian. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver for her family. She was known for her smile, her charm, her wit and wisdom.
She loved reading, hunting, fishing, camping and anything outdoors. Above all, she loved spending time with her family.
Her loving survivors include her husband, Jedidiah Vermillion of Marble Hill; her father, Paul Pobst of Benton, Missouri; her mother, Kayla Ballard of Searcy, Arkansas; and two sons, Jedidiah Vermillion Jr. and Cole Vermillion, both of Marble Hill. She also is survived by a daughter, Lyla Vermillion of Marble Hill; a brother, Caleb Pobst of Benton; and three sisters, Erica Pobst and Hayley Pobst, both of Cape Girardeau, and Brittany Hale of Searcy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Tristen Vermillion.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home-Jackson.
The funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Donny Ford and Enoch Pashby officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
