Mack Spitzmiller
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mack Spitzmiller, 65, of Advance was born Jan. 6, 1944, at Perkins, Mo., son of William and Kitty Welch Spitzmiller, and passed away July 31, 2009, at his home.
Mack had been a truck driver most of his life. He had owned and operated his own truck. He retired from Advance Transport. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Advance and the Advance Masonic Lodge, 32nd Degree Mason. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mack and Beth Bird were united in marriage May 28, 1966, in Advance. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his mother, Kitty Welch of Dexter, Mo.; a son, Matt Spitzmiller of Advance; a daughter, Michelle (Garion) Silman of Advance; and three grandsons, Corey Spitzmiller, Austin Ladd and Colton Silman.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Morgan Memorial Park in Advance with full military rites.
