ADVANCE, Mo. -- Mack D. Haynie, 78, of Advance died Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Nov. 16, 1925, at McGee, Mo., son of Roy and Pearl McGee Haynie Sr. He and Betty DeCelis were married Oct. 29, 1948, at Puxico, Mo.
Mack was a retired heavy equipment operator with Local Union 513 in St. Louis, and was also a cattle farmer. He was a member of Advance United Methodist Church and also a member of Advance Masonic Lodge 50 years.
He was a 1944 graduate of Zalma High School. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and John Price of Cape Girardeau, Nancy and Dan Mueller of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James Haynie of Atlanta, Ga., Roy Haynie Jr. of Farmington, Mo.; a sister, Dorothy Hill of Hazelwood, Mo.; and a granddaughter, Mackenzie Price of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The Rev. Virgil Bunch will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Keith Price. Burial will be in McGee New Hope Cemetery at McGee.
