DORENA -- Funeral service for Mack Edwin Jones of Dorena will be held at 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Chapel in East Prairie. The Rev. Thomas Griffin will officiate, with burial in IOOF Cemetery near Charleston.

Jones, 82 years old, died Sunday, April 7, 1991, at his home, following an extended illness.

He was born Feb. 10, 1909, in the Dorena community, son of Ivan and Ollie Hubbard Jones. He and the former Elois Doss were married Aug. 27, 1930, at Dorena.

He was a retired farmer, and member of Dorena Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a son, McIvan Jones of East Prairie, two daughters, Fern Hutchison of East Prairie, Doris Larkins of Clinton, Ky.; seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
