NEW MADRID -- Mac "Tiny" Thompson, formerly of Lilbourn, died Friday, Dec. 17, 1993, at the Missouri Veteran's Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born July 18, 1917, at Holcomb, Mo., son of Mac and Bertha Fox Thompson.
He served in the U.S. Marines during Korean Conflict, and was a farmer and construction worker in the Lilbourn area.
He was a member of the Sikeston American Legion and VFW posts.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Thompson and Stan Thompson, both of Jackson; a daughter, Marty Hunt of Franklin, Tenn.; two brothers, Lynn "Sweet" Thompson, Cape Girardeau, and Arvel V. "Butter" Thompson, of Lilbourn; two sisters, Fern Riley of New Madrid and Mabel Gooch of Sikeston; eight grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by six brothers.
Service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at Richards Funeral Home in New Madrid, with the Rev. Tom Bray, pastor of New Madrid Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Sikeston.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
