CHARLESTON -- Mable Turner, 79, of Charleston died Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Feb. 12, 1917, in Charleston, daughter of R.J. and Ethel Turner Sutherland.
Turner was a member of Trinity Church of Deliverance, member of the Mother Board, and retired church secretary.
Survivors include a son, Phillip Turner Sr. of Charleston; a daughter, Dorothy King of Charleston; two brothers, Clarence Sutherland of South Bend, Ind., William Sutherland of Port Huron, Mich.; two sisters, Meado Oliver and Margaret Jackson of Aurora, Ill.; seven grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Opportunity Church of God in Christ, with Bishop James Whitfield officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
