MABLE L. HEFNER

DELTA -- Mable Luceile Hefner, 70, of Delta, died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1993, at her home.

She was born Feb. 1, 1923, at Ellisville, Ill., daughter of Oliver Wendall and Mabel Vera Stecher Bailey. She and Ogie Verlin Hefner were married May 14, 1947.

Hefner was a member of Church of God of Prophecy, and American Association of Retired Persons.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Ted Hefner of St. Louis; two daughters, Sheila Howard of Delta, Natalie Tharp of Delta; five brothers, Wayne Honts, Elmer, Warren and Murl Bailey of Illinois, Glen Bailey of California; five sisters, Naomi Tedrow of Iowa, Bonnie Swanson, Vera Williamson, Patsy Dilts and Betty Hollis of Illinois, and three grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Billy Jones will officiate, with burial in Morgan Memorial Park at Advance.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
