MABEL STANFIELD

ORAN -- Mabel E. Stanfield, 84, of Oran died Saturday, March 23, 1996, at her home.

She was born Feb. 8, 1912, to J.H. and Annie Barley Longacre.

She married J.W. "Jim" Stanfield on Oct. 12, 1929. He survives.

Other survivors include three sons, Charles Stanfield of Overland Park, Kan., and Bill Stanfield and J.W. Stanfield Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Lois Anderson of Oran and Janet Pry of Dexter; four sisters, Iris Stanfield of Steele, Estelle Payne of Lake Alfred, Fla., Nina Riddick of Rockledge, Fla., and Dorothy Perry of Waynesville, Ohio.; seven grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two great-grandchildren.

Stanfield was a member of Hooe Baptist Church.

Friends may call at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston from 3-7 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at the funeral home Monday at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Delbert Bishop officiating.

Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery at Morley.
