SCOTT CITY -- Mabel Sanders Kerley, 89, of Rte. 1, Scott City, died Friday, Nov. 24, 1995, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Sept. 4, 1906, in Commerce, daughter of the late Henry and Martha Clark Loftin. She married Claude F. Sanders on June 17, 1925. He preceded her in death Jan. 22, 1959. She then married Leo Kerley in January 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1962.
She was employed as a cook at the Airport Restaurant and Rainbow Drive-in in Scott City. She was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church in Commerce.
She is survived by one son, J.C. Sanders of Scott City; one daughter, Martha Gilpin of Commerce; one brother, Dean Loftin of Olive Branch, Ill., two sisters: Edna Bowman of St. Louis and Daire Dickey of Long Beach, Calif.; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.
Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Scott City. Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will be Sunday in Oakdale Cemetery.
