JONESBORO, Ill. -- Mabel G. Rumfelt, 89, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at her home.
She was born Aug. 1, 1916, in Grand Tower, Ill., daughter of Ardell and Pansy Phillips Harris. She and William E. "Bill" Rumfelt were married Feb. 15, 1941, in St. Louis.
Rumfelt was a member of Galilee Baptist Church North of Wolf Lake, Ill. She was also a member of the Anna Eastern Star Chapter 522 and the Ladies VFW Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Edward Rumfelt of Dongola; two sisters, Ruth Tripp of Ava, Ill., and Margaret Price of Easley, S.C.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, Ill. An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:30 p.m.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. John Cripps officiating. Interment will be in Walker Hill Cemetery in Grand Tower.
