MABEL FLORENCE MOIT

BERTRAND -- Mabel Florence Moit, 80, of Bertrand, died at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 1992.

She was born July 2, 1911 in Cuba, Mo., daughter of William M. and Minnie McIntire Spurgeon.

She had lived in Mississippi County most of her life, and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bertrand.

In 1930, she married Virgil Wright. He preceded her in death in 1935.

Then on July 15, 1938, she married Daniel Wells Moit. He preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1979.

One son, three brothers, and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four sons, Marvin Wright, Ontario, Calif., Maurice Wright and Manuel Moit, both of Bertrand, and Daniel Moit, Schererville, Ind.; one daughter, Helen Jenkins, Dexter; two brothers, Ben Spurgeon of Gray Summit and Allen Spurgeon of Collinsville, Ill.; two sisters, Lillie Noel, Oakland, Calif., and Esther Steinraus, St. Louis; 16 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 5:30 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral chapel with the Rev. Lee Sansler, pastor of the Blodgett Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
