Mabel M. Allen, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at Ratliff Care Center. She was born March 16, 1918, at Parma, daughter of Orville and Margarette Mary Biggs Teaford. She and Ray V. Allen were married Oct. 12, 1935, at Benton. He died March 5, 1993...

Mabel M. Allen, 79, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Dec. 18, 1997, at Ratliff Care Center.

She was born March 16, 1918, at Parma, daughter of Orville and Margarette Mary Biggs Teaford. She and Ray V. Allen were married Oct. 12, 1935, at Benton. He died March 5, 1993.

Allen was a member of First Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include three sisters, Rosa Balsmann of Cape Girardeau, Ethel Deforge of St. Ann, and Pearl Hart of Patton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, two brothers, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Bradford Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
