CAIRO, Ill. — Lynn R. Webster, 72, of Cairo went to be with the Lord while at home Thursday, June 15, 2023.

She was born Aug. 20, 1950, to the late Merrill C. "Red" and Janet Lee Hill Currier of Cairo.

Lynn was a lifelong Cairoite and had an accomplished career as a radio advertising sales executive working for WKYQ out of Paducah, Kentucky. Against the odds, Lynn built the Southeast Missouri-Southern Illinois sales territory from the ground up, winning sales representative of the month/year multiple times during her career.

Even with a successful career, Lynn was most proud of being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved her family, pets and friends dearly.

Lynn and Patrick O. "Pat" Webster were married Jan. 1, 2000.

Lynn was a born-again Christian and member of First Baptist Church of Mounds, Illinois.

She will be deeply missed by her son, Brad Simmons of Sikeston, Missouri; granddaughter, Sunnie Gream of Herrin, Illinois; grandson, Zachary Simmons of Sikeston; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Zoe, Charli and Teegan; niece, Debbie Profilet-Fontenont; nephew, Kyle Wallace; loyal friends, Elaine Wild, Vanassa Thomas and Becky Rednour; and many other friends.

Lynn was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister, Karen Sue Wallace.

Services will be held Wednesday, July 21, at Crain Funeral Home in Cairo. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., with the funeral following at noon, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Mound City (Illinois) National Cemetery.
