Lyndon J. Schumpert, 2, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 22, 2014, along with his father, Jarred Schumpert.
He was born April 25, 2012, in Cape Girardeau, son of Jarred and Laura M. Schumpert.
Lyndon was an exceptionally vibrant and loving little boy who was full of smiles and energy. He loved his mommy and daddy more than anything and was never far from their sides. He would have loved to grow up to be Spider-Man, his favorite toy and character.
Survivors include his mother; grandparents, John R. and Mary Hampson of Perryville, Missouri; an aunt, Sara Hampson, uncle Daniel and aunt Stacie Hampson; cousins, Dez and Braxton Hampson and Ashlyn Davis, all of Perryville; paternal grandmother, Beverly Turner of Texas; three uncles, Floyd, Jamal, Joseph Schumpert; two cousins, Royce and Josiah Schumpert, all of Texas; numerous great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and a special friend and playmate, Hallie of Cape Girardeau.
He was preceded in death by an uncle, Robert (Bob) Hampson; great-grandparents, Ken and Leona Riney, John and Mary Hampson; grandfather, Floyd Schumpert Sr.; and a great-grandmother, Josie Whitfield.
A celebration of life for Lyndon and his daddy, Jarred, will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until time of service. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, please bring a toy (especially Spider-Man or a superhero) to be donated to Missouri First Steps of Cape Girardeau, Cape Girardeau HealthPoint Rehab or Southeast Missouri State University Autism Center.
