JACKSON -- Lyman H. Dunn, 80, of Spartanburg, S.C., died Sunday, Feb. 7, 1999, in Spartanburg.
He was born Sept. 30, 1918, at Gipsy, son of Elmer E. and Mildred Haddock Dunn. He and Dorothy Louise Pender were married Feb. 3, 1943.
Dunn was a 1942 graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He operated a dental lab in Cape Girardeau 37 years. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Jackson, and was an elder at Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Church many years.
Dunn had lived in the Jackson and Fruitland areas most of his life, recently moving to South Carolina.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Dr. Joe Dunn of Spartanburg, Dr. Keith Dunn of Williamsburg, Va.; three sisters, Virginia DeFrank of Osprey, Fla., Helen Trantham of Cape Girardeau, Betty McIntosh of Fayette; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Presbyterian Cemetery.
