Funeral for Lydia E. Mueller of Cape Girardeau will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson. The Rev. David Johnson will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau from 2-8 p.m. today, and Friday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Mueller, 89, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Feb. 12, 1910, in St. Louis County, daughter of August W. and Louise Prante Mueller. She and Martin F. Mueller were married Aug. 5, 1928. He died Sept. 27, 1989.
Mueller moved to Fruitland in 1970 from St. Louis, and then to Cape Girardeau in 1986.
She had been a member of St. Paul Church since 1970 and was active in the Ladies Aid, Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and the Lutheran Home Auxiliary.
Survivors include four sons, Leslie Mueller of St. Louis, Bernie Mueller of Fruitland, Mark Mueller of Denver, Colo., Dan Mueller of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Norman Mueller of St. Charles; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
