LYDIA MEIER

Lydia S. Meier, 92, 1911 Woodlawn, died Monday, May 27, 1996, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born Aug. 4, 1903, at Tilsit, daughter of Henry C. and Bertha Nagle Ahrens. She and William A. Meier were married Jan. 27, 1926. He died April 15, 1985.

Meier was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at Tilsit.

Survivors include a son, Erwin Meier of Washington, N.C.; a daughter, Erna Phillips of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Alma Lange of Burfordville; four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Church, with the Rev. Paul Drake officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
