JACKSON -- Lydia Mathilda Haertling, 84, of Jackson, died Friday, April 24, 1992, at Jackson Manor.

She was born March 25, 1908, at New Wells, daughter of Theodore and Sarah Grebing Gerler. She married Alfons E. Haertling Dec. 28, 1930, at New Wells. He died Nov. 17, 1957.

Haertling was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son, Delmar Haertling of Pilot Knob; a daughter, Myrtle Brauner of Altenburg; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Robert Henrichs will officiate, with burial in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery at New Wells.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
