Luther Thomas Dodd, 73, of 613 Morgan Oak St., formerly of Tamms, Ill., died June 22, 1993, at the Cape Girardeau Nursing Center.

He was born Nov. 20, 1919, in Decatur County, Tenn., the son of the late Fred Dodd and Edna Riggs. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by two brothers, Biffle Dodd of Mounds, Ill., and Fred Dodd of San Antonio, Texas; and nieces and nephews.

He was a retired chef.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. John's Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.

Visitation will be held after 9 a.m. Thursday at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
