ORAN -- Luther Steward, 62, of Oran, died Monday, Nov. 1, 1999, at the Green Meadows Retirement Home in Sikeston.He was born March 31, 1937, in Malden, son of Everrie and Georgia Mae Cannon Steward.He worked in the steel mills in Marion, Ind., before moving back to Sikeston in 1976. He was a member of New Morning Star Baptist Church.He is survived by four sisters, Willie B. Mills of Oran, Essie B. Steward, Loretta Steward and Minnie Moore, all of Sikeston.Friends may call from noon until the funeral at 2 p.m. Friday at Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home in Sikeston. Burial will be at Sunset of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
