EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- Luther Jackson, 76, of East Prairie died Monday, March 8, 2004, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.

He was born July 19, 1927, at Morley, Mo., son of Willie and Martha Benford Jackson. He and Ella M. Dickson were married Dec. 3, 1948.

Jackson was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Luther Jackson Jr. of Charleston, Mo., Willie Jackson of Sikeston; four daughters, Barbara Griffin of Charleston, Evon Williams and Teresa Jackson of Sikeston, Patrica Jackson of East Prairie; 19 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call Saturday at St. Matthew Baptist Church in Charleston from 1 p.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Sylvester Davis officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Williams Funeral Home at Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
