JACKSON -- Luellen Ayers, 76, of Jackson died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home. She was born July 29, 1921, at Allenville, daughter of Eugene and Ethel Wise Hurst. She and O.B. "Bud" Ayers were married Jan. 17, 1946. He died Jan. 23, 1996. Ayers had lived in Jackson since 1980, and was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church...

JACKSON -- Luellen Ayers, 76, of Jackson died Wednesday, June 24, 1998, at her home.

She was born July 29, 1921, at Allenville, daughter of Eugene and Ethel Wise Hurst. She and O.B. "Bud" Ayers were married Jan. 17, 1946. He died Jan. 23, 1996.

Ayers had lived in Jackson since 1980, and was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, David Ayers of Richardson, Texas; a sister, Emogene McCullough of Cape Girardeau; and two grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Lohse officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park.
