PORTAGEVILLE, Mo. -- Luella Hobbs, 85, of Portageville died Monday, Dec. 18, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born June 27, 1921, at Lilbourn, Mo., daughter of William and Teresa Biler Cravens. She and Stowell Hobbs were married Jan. 3, 1950, in New Madrid, Mo. He died Jan. 18, 1986.
Hobbs was a member of St. Eustachius Catholic Church.
Survivors include five sons, George Hobbs and Bill Hobbs, both of Oran, Mo., Stowell Hobbs of Charleston, Mo., Mike Allgier of Portageville and David Allgier of Union City, Tenn.; three daughters, Anna Jane Crockett and Linda Thurman, both of New Madrid, and Kaki Long of Portageville; three sisters, Mary Etta Mitchell of Sikeston, Anna Jane Eichorn of San Antonio and Pat Ripley of Portageville; 42 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, a son, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call at 5 p.m. today with the rosary at 7:30 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Eustachius Catholic Church with the Rev. Allan Saunders officiating. Burial will be at Portageville Cemetery.
