CYPRESS, Ill. -- Funeral for LuDean Evers of Cypress will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak. The Revs. Tom Snell, Jay Franklin and Ed Hoke will officiate. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-9 p.m. today. An Eastern Star service will be held at 7.

Evers, 75, died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, at her winter home in Hernando, Fla.

She was born Sept. 28, 1923, in Cypress, daughter of P.D. and Ella Jones Lentz. She and Charles R. "Bob" Evers were married May 26, 1946, in Cypress.

Evers attended Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

She and her husband owned and operated Evers Lumber.

Evers was a member of First United Methodist Church, member and past worthy matron of Eastern Star Chapter 886 in Cypress; VFW Auxiliary and charter member of Valley Shrine 108 in Vienna; and Moose Lodge in Anna.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Solita Mathis and Robby Gunn of Cypress; seven grandchildren; two great-grandsons; and a stepgrandson.
