Lucy Perry

Lucy K. Perry, 75, of Whitewater died Saturday, April 9, 2022. at her home.

She was born Jan. 20, 1947, in Cape Girardeau to Chester and Helen Loos Spann. She and James Perry were married Nov. 13, 1999, at Cape Girardeau.

She worked at Southeast Missouri State University for 23 years, retiring in 2003.

Lucy was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include her husband, James Perry of Whitewater, Missouri; a son, Robert Dorris of Jackson; six daughters, Cynthia Gilder of South Texas; Shelia Perry of Cape Girardeau; Teresa Alley of Fruitland; Darla Sallee of Oran, Missouri; Melissa Rolen of Marble Hill, Missouri; and Rebecca Bryant of Glen Allen, Missouri; a brother, Jimmy Spann of Munich, Germany; two nieces, Lucinda Latimer of New York and Laura Hawkins of Jonesboro, Arkansas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
