Lucy Jeanetta Henson, a native of Lilbourn, Mo., and former resident of Puxico, Mo., died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2001, at Hospice House in South Bend, Ind. She was 73.
She was born Dec. 7, 1927, the daughter of James and Iva McGruder. She married the Rev. Glendon Henson on July 15, 1944. He died Jan. 10, 1995.
She was a homemaker who lived in Puxico before moving to Mishawaka, Ind., in 1973. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Temple in Mishawaka and had worked as a caregiver for United Health Services until retiring in 1988.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Henson of Marion, Ind., and Terry Henson of South Bend; a daughter, Karen Woolwine of Mishawaka; six grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Puxico.
Graveside services will be held at noon Monday at the Puxico Cemetery, with the Revs. Terry Henson and Michael Henson officiating.
