ORAN, Mo. -- Lucy Anne Brindley, daughter of the late Harold and Rita Margrabe Todt, was born Aug. 1, 1957, in Cape Girardeau and departed this life Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at her home in Oran at the age of 65.

She worked in the financial industry for 40 years, starting as a bank teller and finishing her career as a financial advisor with US Bank.

She was active in the Oran Alumni Association, serving as president until her death; was president of the Oran Industrial Development Authority; was a director of the Oran Optimist Club; served on the Oran Sesquicentennial committee and was involvement in various other community projects. She was a member of Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

On Feb. 7, 1975, she was united in marriage with Larry David Brindley in Oran.

In addition to her husband, Larry, survivors include four sons; Joseph David Brindley of Herrin, Illinois; Christopher David Brindley and Thomas Lee Brindley of Oran; and Nickolas Ryan (Madison) Brindley of Benton, Missouri. Lucy is also survived by six siblings, Michael (Sandy) Todt of Jackson, Margaret (Leman) Loftis of Branson, Missouri, Mary (Jim) Senciboy of Fenton, Missouri, Catherine (Bill) Johns of Festus, Missouri, Charles (Deana) Todt of Cape Girardeau and Dale (Susan) Todt of Fruitland; five grandchildren, Cameron Brindley, Ava Meritt, Jasmine Turcotte, Conner Goins and Gregory Stout II; and many relatives and friends.

Two brothers, John and Harold Todt, and one sister, Jane Todt, also preceded her in death.

Visitation will be at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 18, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, with a rosary at 7 p.m.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 19, at Guardian Angel Catholic Church in Oran.

Memorials may be made to the Oran Alumni Association or Southeast Cancer Center in lieu of flowers.
