FRIEDHEIM, Mo. -- Lucille A. Wharton, 74, of Friedheim died Friday, March 9, 2012, at Independence Care Center of Perry County.
She was born April 28, 1937, in Friedheim, daughter of Ernst and Elsie Redman Bruene. She and Loren Wharton were married May 28, 1966. He preceded her in death Jan. 16, 1999.
Mrs. Wharton had worked at Missy's Country Kettle in Biehle, Mo. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim.
Survivors include two daughters, Pamela (Wayne) Palmer of Maryland Heights, Mo., Karen (Wayne) Schnurbusch of Friedheim; a stepdaughter, Diana Gibson of Jackson; a sister, Elaine Harris of Michigan; four grandchildren, Amy and Jeremy Duncan, Jeremiah and Thecla Gibson, Brandy Gibson, Jacob Palmer; and three great-grandchildren, Madeline Duncan, Noah and Zoe Gibson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a stepson, Russell Wharton; three sisters; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Friedheim, with the Rev. Roger Steinbrueck officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Memorials are preferred to Southeast Hospice.
