Lucille Welborn

TAMMS, Ill. -- Lucille Newell Welborn, 77, died Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at her home in Zephyrhills, Fla.

She was born July 14, 1936, in Tamms, and was a 1954 graduate of Ullin High School. She was an avid musician and resided in Zephyrhills the last 30 years.

Survivors include a sister, Evelyn Newell Kee of Tamms; three children, Greg Smith of Benton, Ky., Tammy Clark of Bowling Green, Ky., and Jeff Smith of Benton; four grandchildren, Ashley, Justin, Skyler and Quinn Smith, all of Benton; two nephews, Ronald Kee of Cape Girardeau and Richard Kee of Tamms.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Hazel Newell of Tamms.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
