SCOPUS -- Lucille "Toots" Tallent, 74, of Scopus, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, at her home. She was born Aug. 9, 1919, at Scopus, daughter of Henry A. and Jennie Jones Tallent. Tallent was a retired supervisor with Department of Economic Security in Arizona. SCOPUS -- Lucille "Toots" Tallent, 74, of Scopus, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 1993, at her home.

She was born Aug. 9, 1919, at Scopus, daughter of Henry A. and Jennie Jones Tallent.

Tallent was a retired supervisor with Department of Economic Security in Arizona. She was active in the Senior Citizens Center, Bollinger County Historical Society, and member of Scopus United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Willie Tallent of Jackson; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Scopus United Methodist Church. James Hartman and Bill Felty will officiate, with burial in Cook Cemetery.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill after 5 p.m. today, and at the church Saturday after 10 a.m.
