ANNA, Ill. --Lucille Galbraith Stewart, 92, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, at her home near Anna.
She was born June 4, 1915, at Cobden, Ill., daughter of Fred and Minnie Smoot Jackson. She married Aden Galbraith Feb. 16, 1932, at Jonesboro, Ill. He died Jan. 7, 1955. She later married Glen Stewart Dec. 28, 1963, at Carbondale, Ill. He died July 22, 1979.
Stewart is survived by a son, Jim Galbraith of Anna; a stepdaughter, Glenda Cowan of Cobden; two brothers, Bud Jackson of Granite City, Ill., Raymond Jackson of O'Fallon, Ill.; two sisters, Louise Shelton of Cobden, Elva Stauffer of Bethalto, Ill.; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four great-stepgrandchildren; and two great-great-stepgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter and two brothers.
She was a member of the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro until the time of the service.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle Church in Jonesboro, with the Rev. Dan Boyd officiating. Interment will be in Cobden cemetery.
