Lucille Sitzes, 76, 1923 Belleridge Pike, died Tuesday, May 12, 1992, at St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born June 20, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Julius and Reva Seabaugh Bollinger. She married Zenas W. Sitzes Feb. 8, 1939, in Cape Girardeau.
Sitzes was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University. She began teaching in 1951, and taught at Graysboro, Morley, Randles, and retired in 1976 as special education teacher at Delta Elementary School. She was a member of First Baptist Church and Retired Teachers Association of Missouri.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Judith Pulley of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Lila Underwood of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Ina Warren of Cape Girardeau, Muriel Leyerle of Greers Ferry, Ark., and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and two sisters.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. John Owen will officiate, with burial in Lorimier Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
