Lucille Mildred Schneider, 78, of Jackson passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 22, 1932, in Shawneetown, daughter of Edwin B. and Frieda S. Wachter Schneider.
Lucille was a 1951 graduate of Jackson High School. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Shawneetown. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson and the church choir. Lucille volunteered at the St. Paul Church and School library.
She worked for Little River Drainage District until retiring in 1997. She bowled for many years in the Jackson Bowling League. She was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals baseball team, St. Louis Rams football team and Jackson High School athletic teams.
Loving survivors include a sister, Lillian Schneider of Jackson; many loving cousins, Ruben (Betty) Wachter of Altenburg, Mo., Norman Wachter of Jackson, Edward Wachter and Charlotte Wachter of Altenburg, Allen (Anna Mae) Wachter of Jackson and Raymond (DeDe) Wachter of Huron, S.D.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Robert Henrichs officiating. Interment will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Saxony Lutheran High School or a charity of donor's choice.
