Lucille M. Sides, 80, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Aug. 12, 1994 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born Nov. 21, 1913, the daughter of John and Rosa Ostendorf Herbst.
On July 8, 1940, she married Eugene Sides in Cape Girardeau. He survives.
She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral, a former member of the Mothers Association of the church and a past Girl Scout leader. She worked five years at the Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce office and worked three and a half years at the former Toll Bridge Office on Morgan Oak Street. She also did volunteer work at St. Francis Medical Center for 12 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, Ronald E. Sides, Springfield, Ill.; two daughters, Linda Craig and Brenda Emerson, both of St. Louis; one sister, Margaret Griffaw, Cape Girardeau; and one grandchild.
Three brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call today from 4-8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. Parish prayers will be held today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral with Msgr. Richard Rolwing and the Rev. Neal Stein officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
