Private funeral service for Lucille F. Lewis of Cape Girardeau will be held today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel. The Rev. Randy Tochtrop will officiate, with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Lewis, 92, died Thursday, June 19, 1997, at her home, following a lingering illness.
She was born Nov. 12, 1904, in Warsaw, Ind., daughter of Howard and Harriet Gunter Wiseman. She and Glen J. Lewis were married June 4, 1927. He died April 26, 1989.
Lewis was a lifelong resident of Cape Girardeau. She and her husband owned and operated Lewis Refrigeration Co. many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Stallings of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and brother.
