PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Lucille King, 92, of Perryville, formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, Oct. 3, 2014, at Independence Care Center in Perryville.
She was born Oct. 11, 1921, in Whitewater to Luther and Laura Summers.
She and John W. King were married Sept. 9, 1950, at Cape Girardeau. He passed away Oct. 25, 1954.
Lucille worked as a beautician in her home in Cape Girardeau and later as a cook on a river boat, retiring in 1985.
She was a member of United Methodist Church in Perryville.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda (Jim) Bohnert of Perryville; a son, Ronald W. Clark of Cape Girardeau; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one son.
Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Duncan officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to United Methodist Church of Perryville.
