LUCILLE HOWARD

Lucille Howard, 75, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born March 16, 1923, in Michigan Valley, Kan., daughter of Frank and Loretta Pottorf Barbee. She and Henry Byrd Howard were married July 26, 1948. He died Dec. 21, 1979.

Howard moved to Jackson in 1991 from Burfordville, and to Cape Girardeau in 1997 from Taylorville, Ill.

Survivors include a daughter, Marie; and a brother, Frank Barbee of Flowery Branch, Ga.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson is in charge of arrangements.

A private service will be held at a later date.
